April 21st: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 7/1

With the title races from across Europe appearing to go down to the wire, neutrals look set for yet another stacked schedule this weekend. So, for those of you who are looking to stick on a Saturday accumulator, we have found a few helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Saturday April 21st

BST 15:00 Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest

While Liverpool might need a minor miracle if they’re to claim a top-four finish this season, Jurgen Klopp’s side will be boosted by a rampant display earlier in the week. Eventually storming their way to what was a stellar 6-1 romp away at relegation scrappers Leeds, Saturday’s hosts are now desperate to find some much-needed stability. Smelling the chance to claim back-t-back Premier League victories this weekend, there is no doubt that the former Borussia Dortmund boss will be calling on the red-hot Mohamed Salah to spearhead their charge here. Bagging a brace away at Elland Road on Monday night, the 30-year-old has continued on another record-breaking flurry this season. In fact, along with finding the net as Liverpool snatched a 2-2 draw against Arsenal on April 9th, Salah has now scored nine goals in his last 10 appearances for club and country. With Nottingham Forest visiting Anfield this weekend, the one-time Chelsea starlet should be looking to test Steve Cooper’s leaky defence. Last seen getting hit with a routine 2-0 loss at home against Manchester United, Saturday’s guests have failed to win any of their last 10 straight Premier League appearances – a run that stems all the way back to February 5th. Already shipping 56 top-flight goals this season, the ex-Swansea boss will know that his struggling squad faces another heavyweight challenge here.

Tip: Mohamed Salah to score anytime @ 19/20

15:00 Bolton Wanderers vs Shrewsbury Town

While Bolton might have been disappointed after settling for a 1-1 draw away at Burton earlier in the week, Saturday’s hosts are sat in pole position to claim a play-off spot this season. Making real history on April 2nd as they were crowned EFL Trophy champions thanks to a stunning 4-0 romp against Plymouth at Wembley, Ian Evatt’s men should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Unbeaten in each of their last six straight meetings against League One opposition, the Trotters should also be excited by their continued success on home soil. Including a 5-0 victory against MK Dons on February 14th, Bolton have lost just one of their last one of their previous 11 third-tier appearances in front of their own supporters – a run that stems all the way back to October 29th – Evatt’s side are rightfully tipped as a standout pick on Saturday afternoon. While Shrewsbury might find themselves sat in League One limbo, Steve Cotterill’s side are enduring what has become a woeful run of form. Opening April with an infamous 6-0 drumming away at Shrewsbury, the former Birmingham boss has seen his side collect just a single point from any of their last six appearances. With Bolton claiming a 2-1 victory when Shrewsbury last come to town back in October 2021, we are expecting a similar outcome here.

Tip: Bolton win & Over 1.5 goals @ 21/20

17:00 Lazio vs Torino

While Lazio might have come under real scrutiny following their European exit last month, Saturday’s hosts are enjoying a real domestic romp. Last seen putting in another thrilling display as they cruised their way to a 3-0 romp away at Spezia, Maurizio Sarri’s side have won each of their last four straight Serie A appearances. Skyrocketing their way up the table and now sat in pole position to claim a Champions League return this season, the former Chelsea boss will be calling on his high-flying squad to make another statement here. Heading into March’s international break with an eye-catching 1-0 win against bitter local rivals Roma, the Eagles have also impressed with their new-found defensive resolve. Shipping just a single strike on their four-match winning run, Sarri’s men should be relishing Torino’s arrival at the Stadio Olimpico. Forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at home against Salernitana last weekend, Saturday’s guests have recorded just a pair of wins from any of their last nine Serie A appearances. Heading into the international break with a nightmare 4-0 drumming at home against Napoli, the Bulls will know that they face a huge challenge here. Remarkably failing to collect a single top-flight victory at the Stadio Olimpico – a run that stems all the way back to 1993 – a home win can be found at appealing odds this weekend.

Tip: Lazio win & Under 4.5 goals @ 21/20
